The first of my ‘Photography holiday courses’ in Italy is located at the ‘Bacco e Bivacco’ Hotel, in central southern Italy. The hospitality, the genuineness of the produce and the respect for traditions and local dishes, are the strong points of the ‘Bacco e Bivacco, Country House’ located at the foot of the Matese Regional Park. The nearest town of San Potito Sannitico is a few minutes drive away and twenty minutes from the small, yet beautiful, mountain town of Castello del Matese in Campania, Southern central Italy.
There are so many options for a creative photography holiday in this unspoilt and largely undiscovered region. Far aside from tourism, you will struggle to hear a native English voice all week, well except for mine of course! We can explore the nearby walled Roman town of Alife, local markets, waterfalls as well as the Mountain lake of Matese. Check out my ‘intro’ for photo course overview.
This Country House is a comfortable yet rustic small hotel, whilst the bedrooms are all en-suite, simple in style and without frills. We have eaten at Sara’s ‘Bacco e Bivacco’ many times and it is one of our favourite local restaurants, with its authentic regional freshly made dishes.
My price for the seven night photography holiday with tuition is from £850 per person and includes breakfast, dinner and a pack lunch if required. Flight and transfers are not included, as the logistics are rather variable. However I have organised transfers as a clickable ‘door to door’ extra and I am happy to advise on routes, planning as well as car-hire. As ‘Bacco’ is off the beaten track, it is essential to have your own vehicle, both to get to the photo locations, as well as your explorations between photo sessions. If you wish to lunch out, there are plenty of very inexpensive local restaurants, see my blog! Click on the ‘Reservations’ button below to see my ‘Bacco’ dates from weeks beginning: 28th April 2018 and 2nd June 2018 which can be reserved now.
